Hinduism Paper Hum free essay sample

The Hindu religion is a monstrous joint effort of lessons, convictions, functions, customs, and gods. Sanatana Dharma is another approach to depict Hinduism in light of the fact that Sanatana portrays the unceasing, and Dharma portrays ever-enduring. This mirrors the conviction that the facts of Hinduism have consistently existed. It incorporates such an assortment of articulations, that it is hard to characterize Hinduism legitimate. It envelops the boundaries of forbearance and arousing quality, god commitment and philosophical reflection, and furthermore significant contrasts in the material and otherworldly world. The shared trait of a significant number of the frameworks that Hinduism is based, are the Vedas. They are the antiquated magical lessons that are said not to have been composed by people. The three sections are the Brahmanas, the Aranyakas and the Upanishads. The most drilled frameworks of Hinduism that identify with the Vedas are Samkhya, Advaita, Vedanta, and yoga. Numerous social and cultural impacts have become the establishment of Indian culture due to the Vedic age. We will compose a custom article test on Hinduism Paper Hum or on the other hand any comparative theme explicitly for you Don't WasteYour Time Recruit WRITER Just 13.90/page During the Vedic age, Brahmins were ministers and thinkers that needed to keep up otherworldly immaculateness so the precise activities of society isolated the individuals into ranks. The Brahmins were at the top due to their otherworldly and sacred spot. Next there was the honorability class which included lords, warriors and vassals. They ensured society all in all and worked as the legislature. Vaishayas were essentially the business class. For the most part salaried laborers, financial specialists, businesspeople, ranchers and shippers all filled this class. The following class, the shudra, was craftsmans and manual laborers.A fifth class had created after some time which would be viewed as the least fortunate class. The untouchables, as they were known, held chiefly the most exceedingly terrible occupations of waste administration and road clearing which made them truly unapproachable. The Vedic convention after some time had been developing into a controlling substance rather than a religion. It was getting progressively constrained by the Brahmins and the standing framework got innate. The ranks framework itself had gotten similarly as significant as the first lessons of the Vedas for a few centuries. Not until Ghandi had anybody really tested the framework and renamed the untouchables to, â€Å"the offspring of God. † The profound established programming of the standing framework despite everything dwells today and directs whether individuals will get hitched despite the fact that it has been nullified since the 1940’s. Hinduism impacts their general public in a couple of different ways also. For instance, a few families pick a Cesarean segment so as to choose the best time for their youngster to be brought into the world because of the way that the old act of soothsaying is so profoundly regarded. The want to be discharged from the natural experience has to do with getting away the ever-present nearness of karma. Karma is round and basically, widespread equity. Being conceived, biting the dust and being renewed so as to become familiar with the exercises introduced before us can be an unbounded excursion. A definitive objective, that is to isolate from the limitless karma into the upper degrees of oneself and higher cognizance, just appears to bode well. ACT Math Practice

Even before reading this article, you’ve already finished years of ACT Math practice. Yet until now, you never knew it. Calm down! There’s a reason for this fortunate turn of events. Compared to the English, Reading, and Science Tests on the ACT, the ACT Math Test is very similar to multiple choice tests you’ve taken in middle and high school. In other words, you’ve practiced for the ACT Math with every Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, or Trigonometry test. There are a few more things you need to know and do to be successful on the ACT Math test. This guide provides some strategies for test prepbut it’s still up to you to take care of the ‘practice’ part of ACT Math practice. No Organization The ACT Math is like the most unorganized buffet you’ve ever seen. Yet instead of having the hot dogs in the fruit section, the ACT math may have a Pre-Algebra question right after a Trigonometry question. In short, your mind is going to have to change gears many times throughout the test. This is where the benefit of taking multiple ACT practice tests comes in handy. Even if you’re a straight A Math student (good for you if that’s the case), you still need to get used to the ACT Math’s format. Getting to Know Your Calculator As you’re going through your ACT Math practice, be sure to use the calculator you plan to bring on test day. But first, make sure that ACT will let take your calculator into the test room. Youll find full info on allowed calculators here. Even if your calculator has only the four basic functions, practicing with it will make you more comfortable on test day. Remember, typing in numbers takes up valuable seconds. Going (Almost) Calculator-Free Because using your calculator does take time, theres a really important strategy for the ACT Math that is going to help you instantly improve your score even when you don’t know how to do the problems. It’s that good. And it’s called estimation. This video walks you through three incredibly helpful ways (with examples!) that you can use estimation to your advantage on the ACT. 1. Eliminate answers that are unrealistic. It’s so important that you take advantage of the fact that this test is multiple choice. The answer is right there in front you of, and, for whatever reason, the ACT often includes some incredibly unrealistic answers amongst your choices—values that are way too high or too low. However, they might be numbers that you would obtain if you messed up your calculations. And that’s why it’s so important that you break the habit of the â€Å"school way† of doing problems and use some common sense. If you determine that a $85 dollar sweater on sale for 20% off would cost $17†¦.well, that wouldn’t make sense. So get in the habit of eliminating too small or too large answer choices right off the bat. 2. Simplify equations by approximating values. When answer choices are very much spread out, you can often get the answer more quickly by approximating easier values for the numbers than by reaching for your calculator. (See the video for an example!) 3. Estimating on geometry problems. For the most part, you can assume diagrams are drawn roughly to scale on the ACT. This means there are few tricks you can employ on the paper test to get an answer even when you don’t know how to do a problem. For example, you can turn the side of your answer sheet into a ruler by making light pencil marks to show the known lengths of lines in a diagram and then put this â€Å"ruler† up against an unknown line in the diagram to estimate its length. You can use the corner of your answer sheet as a handy right angle to help estimate the size of an unknown angle. Even just eyeballing a diagram can often help you eliminate unrealistic answer choices. Even if you don’t know how to do a problem and need to take a guess, in many cases on the ACT, you can greatly improve your odds of guessing correctly through estimation, so don’t just assume* you have to just blindly guess! *Magoosh does not claim responsibility for the terribleness of this pun. Time Management As with all sections of the ACT, don’t forget about time management in the math section. Fortunately for you, the ACT Math Test provides one minute per question, making it significantly easier to track your progress than the other three tests. Don’t forget, though, Math questions do take more time than other questions on the ACT. As difficulty varies throughout the ACT Math, some questions may take less than a minute, but other might take more. (Another reason that estimation is so handy!) But I’m Stuck on a Question! What Do I Do? If you’ve given a question just over a minute, and there’s still no clear answer, guess. There’s no penalty for wrong answers, and you may just get it right. If you find through taking practice tests that you usually finish with a few minutes to spare, mark questions in your test booklet where you had to guess. This will let you go back when you finish. Yet if you’re the type of test taker who needs every single second, it’s best to just guess and move on for good. But I Always Struggle with (Insert Math Topic Here) Questions! Though its always frustrating to see the same types of difficult questions appear on different practice tests, being mindful of your struggle is the first step towards improvement. Its best, if possible, to take an example of the question to your Math teacher. He or she will be able explain the root concept and work through the problem with you. If the teacher is unavailable, it doesnt hurt to ask one of your peers for help. Thats all for now, mathematicians. And dont worry: when Math gets tough, just remember what Albert Einstein had to say on the topic:

History of the Slavery Trade Essay - 1190 Words

Slavery is a system under which people are treated as property to be sold and bought and are forced to do labor. This practice has been around since the very beginning of civilization. This dates back almost 11,000 years ago during the Code of Hammurabi. People are sentenced to slavery due to debt, prisoners of war, punishment for crime, child abandonment, and the birth into slavery. Slavery has been found to be present in various countries throughout history such as Europe, Africa, the Americas, and Asia. The purpose of slavery was to earn money without having to do all the work. This left people more time to do things they wanted rather than committing their time to work that they do not want to do. The slave trade was invented when†¦show more content†¦Slaves were given enough room to at least turn around. Less slaves died this way. Slave ships were infested with rats and bugs. Dead bodies surrounded living people. Also, the food and water fed to the slaves were spoiled. This all caused many diseases such as smallpox and dysentery. Many of the slaves refused to eat the food which resulted in sailors prying their mouths open and force feeding them. Madness was common from the slaves. They were taken away from family, tied up, and held as slaves. They were not treated as they were real people. Crew members would punish, beat, and in many cases kill slaves. Slaves terrified that the white people would eat them since those who were taken, never returned. Those who tried to rebel usually jumped off the boat and drown themselves. They thought they would rather commit suicide than be held captive as a slave. Though, many did not succeed. Once the ships were docked, the slaves would be taken off and placed in a pen. There they were washed, and sometimes their skin would be covered with grease or tar to make them look healthier. This was done to get as much money as possible for them. The slaves were also branded with a hot iron as identification. Auctions w here hard to slaves because this was usually the time where families were split up. LYSISTRATA Persuasive Essay Example For Students

LYSISTRATA Persuasive Essay A monologue from the play by Aristophanes NOTE: This monologue is reprinted from Aristophanes: The Eleven Comedies. Trans. Anonymous. London: The Athenian Society, 1922. CHORUS OF WOMEN: Nay, never play the brave man, else when you go back home, your own mother wont know you. But, dear friends and allies, first let us lay our burdens down; then, citizens all, hear what I have to say. I have useful counsel to give our city, which deserves it well at my hands for the brilliant distinctions it has lavished on my girlhood. At seven years of age, I was bearer of the sacred vessels; at ten, I pounded barley for the altar of Athene; next, clad in a robe of yellow silk, I was little bear to Artemis at the Brauronia; presently, grown a tall, handsome maiden, they put a necklace of dried figs about my neck, and I was Basket-Bearer. So surely I am bound to give my best advice to Athens. What matters that I was born a woman, if I can cure your misfortunes? I pay my share of tolls and taxes, by giving men to the State. But you, you miserable greybeards, you contribute nothing to the public charges; on the contrary, you have wasted the treasure of our forefathers, as it was called, the treasure amassed in the days of the PersianWars. You pay nothing at all in return; and into the bargain you endanger our lives and liberties by your mistakes. Have you one word to say for yourselves? . . . Ah! dont irritate me, you there, or Ill lay my slipper across your jaws; and its pretty heavy. By the blessed goddesses, if you anger me, I will let loose the beast of my evil passions, and a very hailstorm of blows will set you yelling for help. Come, dames, off tunics, and quicks the word; women must scent the savour of women in the throes of passion. . . . Now just you dare to measure strength with me, old greybeard, and I warrant you youll never eat garlic or black beans more. No, not a word! My anger is at a boiling point, and Ill do with you what the beetle did with the eagles eggs. I laugh at your threats, so long as I have on my side Lampita here, and the noble Theban, my dear Ismenia. . . . Pass decree on decree, you can do us no hurt, you wretch ab horred of all your fellows. Why, only yesterday, on occasion of the feast of Hecate, I asked my neighbors of B?otia for one of their daughters for whom my girls have a lively likinga fine, fat eel to wit; and if they did not refuse, all along of your silly decrees! We shall never cease to suffer the like, till someone gives you a neat trip-up and breaks your neck for you!

Competitive Situation: In competitive situation we will describe all the competitors of Anchor Cement producing gray cement. There are 70 + firms in the market along with Anchor Cement. All these companies are using different marketing tactics to grape as much market share as possible but they are acting like a cartel under the tree of APCMA. They are producing same quality of cement with all most same price and features that’s why competition in the market is very tough for local as well as foreign market. All are using same bulk penetration strategies to cover major portion of the market. Some are using cost leadership strategy but due to cartel act behavior they are not getting the target results that they want to achieve. Currently Crown cement is the market leader while Anchor cement is a niche in the national market but it is the leader in the local market of Barisal southern part of Bangladesh. Distribution Situation: Anchor Cement Company uses different channels of distributions to transfer the gray cement from company to the different part of Bangladesh. †¢ACC gt; Whole Sellers gt; Retailorgt; Customer †¢ACC gt; Retailorsgt; Customer †¢ACC gt; Customer †¢ACC gt; Regional Offices gt; w/s Retailors Macro-Environmental Situation Macro environmental factors directly or indirectly effect the production of the company its market. In this step we will compare the actual results with the standards set out there in the planning stage. According to the above results figures ACC has achieved all the targets goals efficiently effectively. They have properly implemented the planning as compared to previous year so they have achieved the level of performance what they want. Even more fruitful results have been achieved. Usually, Anchor Cement Company carries out three types of controlling strategies which are as under.. oAnnual Plan Control ACC usually do audit or check up at the end of year that whether that have achived their annual goals/objectives or not regarding sales, profits, market share growth etc. They want to know the gap between actual standard, if found any then will fix it down in the upcoming period. If they have performed much better then they watch out the reasons behind that to implement forever in the organization. oAudit Control Internal Audit is carried out by the internal auditors. External Audit is carried out by external auditors. oStrategic Control Strategic Control is the step of the last section. In strategic control usually they evaluate whether the Anchor Cement Company marketing strategy is appropriate to the market condition or not. If not they do Changes in it to make implementable in the market. They change their strategy according to the market situation that changes so rapidly. Conclusion From the above analysis we can easily conclude that how a company usually does their product or marketing planning. I pick Anchor Cement Company collect data from different sources (mainly from web) then make the palling for them accordingly. All the above discussion gives us a bird’s eye view regarding a good product planning that a marketer can do. Alternate sources of Electri. essays

Alternate sources of Electri. essays Alternate Sources of Electricity: Wind Power Wind is created from an unequal heating of the earths atmosphere therefore wind is an indirect form of solar energy. Convection currents, which occur due to the fact that warm air rises and cooler air drops, produces this cycle of air or wind. Some of the suns energy directly heats the air but mostly the heat is transferred form the earth into the atmosphere. Between 1 - 2% of the solar radiation that reaches the Earth is converted into energy in the wind.1. Seasonal variations in the speed and direction of the wind result from the seasonal changes angle of the Earths spin relative to the Sun. Daily variations are caused by the different speeds of heating different surfaces, for example land and oceans heat up at different speeds.2 The force excreted by wind on a propeller or some sort of mechanical instrument is used to create motion. Thus converting mechanical energy into electrical is not a problem. The process is the reverse of an electric motor which uses a magnet to force the shaft to spin. Likewise if the shaft spins it will induce a magnetic field thus providing electricity. There are three basic physical laws governing the amount of energy available from the wind. The first law states that the power generated by the turbine is proportional to the wind speed cubed. For example if the wind speed doubles, the power available increases by a factor of eight; if the wind speed triples then twenty seven times more power is available. Therefore a proposed site must have a very fast wind a lot of the time to generate electricity. It is very expensive to deploy lots of wind turbines if each is only going to produce very little electricity. The second law states that the power available is directly proportional to the swept area of the blades. That is the power is proportional to the square of the blade length. For example, doubling the blade length will in...

The Role of Music Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1250 words

The Role of Music - Essay Example This essay discusses that music is a powerful medium in the society that helps in controlling communication. Songs assist in sharing meaning and promote development and maintenance of individual groups. For instance, the protest songs are used in showing the composition of social conditions that are prevalent in a society during a particular time. Protests could be used to fight against racism, an abolition of hierarchy, elimination of women suffering and crudity. In the community, protest songs are a powerful tool that helps individuals explore some of the iconic and evocative moments in history. The primary function of the work songs is to mental rather than physical. During the enslavement of the Negros, the white people encouraged them to sing these songs as an illusion for the body to work mechanically. The songs sang accommodated the type of work that they did and, as a result, some songs were developed. Work songs help individuals to be more efficient. This paper declares thatà ‚  music promotes unity in the society. The protest songs are formed as a result of people coming together in agreement to oppose a particular thing. They give a sense of unity and allowchange; this especially can be seen throughout the American history. The use of music at work allows everybody to take part in the discourse practices of labor activities with a uniformity of the mind.  Blue music helps in the relaxation of the mind, during leisure time or when traveling long distances.

Introduction to political science Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1500 words

Introduction to political science - Essay Example Therefore it is the relation of production that helps in shaping the different political systems that exist in the world. (Bottomore, 1991). Democracy means an effective consent of the governed. Liberalism means respect for the individual being. Again democracy means â€Å"location of a state’s power, that is, in the hands of the people, whereas ‘liberal’ refers to the limitation of the state’s power†. A â€Å"liberal democracy is a political system in which the people make the basic political decisions, but in which there are limitations on what decisions they can make†. (Watson, 1999, p.3). It can thus be said that liberalism in its modern form is basically a system in which an individual can use the state power according to the wish of the majority. It can also be said that liberalism tends to take the form of tyranny which involves the rule of one for his or her personal interest. And here lies the paradox of liberal democracy. It becomes very difficult to fit Marx among the nineteenth century democrats. It has also been found that democracy gained comparatively little from Ma rxism; instead it suffered a great deal from Marx and his followers. Democracy may mean a lot of things. It may mean belief in a particular form of government, that is a government formed by the majority and a government which constitutes representative institutions. It may also mean a certain idea about the particular forms of the government. But neither of these definitions allows Marxism to penetrate through Democracy. As belief in government by consent is not in line with the view of historical progress which states that the progress was a product of the class war which had taken place influenced by Marxism. Therefore it is natural that Marxist theories have been used as an argument to negate the theories of liberal democracy. But it cannot be said that Marx was completely anti-democratic. Yet democracy can acquire yet a

Why Marriages Fail Essay Example for Free

Why Marriages Fail Essay God designed oneness for marriage. He created only one Eve for Adam. Thus what is said in Genesis 2:24 is reiterated by Jesus when the Scribes and Pharisees confront him about the issue of divorce, For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh. So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let no man put asunder (Matt. 19:5-6). God never intended that spouses should separate except through death. This is clearly stated in the marriage vows taken by the couple on their marriage day. â€Å"I watched my girl friend’s mother get married for the fifth time. I thought, she has said those vows to four men earlier. † S. Robert. These vows are not to be taken lightly and couples should do all in their power to salvage their marriage, for a marriage is never beyond repair. It is a wrong concept that couples fall out of love. Such a thing does not exist, for if you love someone, you will always love them. If you are certain that you no longer love your spouse, then it is clear that you never loved them in the first place. It must have infatuation, or probably you were swept off your feet by romance but never really knowing and understanding your spouse enough to love them. Then why do marriages fail? One of the main reasons is the negative pattern in a relationship. Each negative comment increases the level of anger and frustration, and soon a small disagreement blows up into a major fight with threats to end the relationship. Over time those angry words damage oneness as they are hard to take back and they drive a knife into the partners heart. Proverbs 12:18 says, Reckless words pierce like a sword. Marriages fail also because of poor communication skills, lack of commitment, failure to nurture love in its various forms, lack of spiritual unity or direction, lack of ability to cope with the changes in life and the inability to deal with skeletons of the past. Besides this negative interpretations can damage a relationship. A wife who doesn’t find her husband very eager to visit her parents may be under the delusion that he doesn’t like her parents. This may be totally untrue and he may be bogged down with the financial cost or whether he has enough vacation. Thus when the negative interpretations mount and help create an environment of hopelessness the attacked partner gives up trying to make himself or herself clear and becomes demoralized. Today divorce being so easy, couples throw in the towel too soon. Marriage takes commitment and trust, communication and faith. When two people in love say that ‘Love is blind’ they are usually correct. If the two of them are realistically going to need to work in order to provide for the household, it is equally unrealistic for her to expect to be provided for while she stays home to run the house as it is for him to insist that no wife of his is going to work. Denise, for example, wanted to pursue a career, but her husband Jeff, had a rigid, no wife of mine will ever work attitude. Denise did not confront Jeff. Instead, she became a hospital volunteer, which did not threaten his breadwinning image. Then she took some courses to help her in her volunteer work. With her improved qualifications she was hired part time and then offered a full time job. By this time Jeff could see that Denise was happier when working so he encouraged her and even boasted about his wife’s career. Denise was able to make Jeff realize her need but if one gets into a marriage believing that if you marry someone it will change them or if you love them enough things will work out, it will not, for you are demanding of you partner what you want not what he/ she requires. There are a variety of ways to help another: prayer, financial aid, an ear to listen and a shoulder to cry on. But do not enter a relationship where your sole purpose is to tend to the others troubles. A healthy marriage requires both husband and wife to bring 100% to the table. When one is always the giver and the other always the taker, trouble is on the horizon. Setting a good example yourself will bring in better results than demanding them. If you want to foster the quality of kindness, demonstrate your own kindness to others, if you are looking for courage, show that you can stand up to tough situations yourself. Marrying too soon is another main reason why marriages fail. People dont want to live out their lives in loneliness but it is always good to know the person before you pop the question. Lack of communication is a dreaded vampire of divorces. Your spouse is not God that he/she understands and knows what your mind is thinking about. It is always better to speak out. One wife described her marriage as empty and blamed her husband for failing to comfort her when their daughter died years ago. â€Å"I just wanted him to hold me close,† she said. She did not voice her need and though his need was the same he did not approach her.

Voices from Vietnam :: essays research papers

This reader’s rating for this book is average. It is a very well written book but it may not appeal to some people. If the reader was familiar with the war then this would be a wonderful book to read. This reader thought it was interesting but not as enthralling as it should be. The book was mainly made out of quotes or dialogue from the men in the war. This was a very different way of writing but it was interesting. Many of the veterans had interesting stories to tell and how it felt like to be in the war. Overall it was a book to consider if you’re into war stories. The things this reader likes about this book is that it was interesting in the fact that it had real stories from real veterans in the war. Some of the stories were explained in gruesome detail in which this reader thought was very disturbing. It is disgusting to know what happened to some of the Vietnamese and veterans during that war. What this reader also liked was how they explained the war while showing the opinions of some of the veterans. The least thing this reader liked about this book was that it didn’t keep you on the edge. Even though this was a war story it didn’t captivate me as much as I would have wanted it to. It became boring at parts when they explained how the war started and how the Chinese were trying to take control of Vietnam. What the author should have done was explain the war with minimum detail and have many comments from the people who were actually involved in it. In this reader’s opinion this book should be good for older people. Older people would understand the meaning of the war better and how it started. Also older people would probably find it interesting and actually want to read into it. Since older people have most likely lived during the Vietnam War they would appreciate this book much more than a teenager would. Voices from Vietnam is not even close to simple. With the exception of the dialogue the words used in the book were a little advanced for a teenager. This reader didn’t enjoy much of the book because of this reason. The book is also quite long since it explains the war and contains comments from the veterans.

Introduction to Distribution Management

Distribution Management Introduction to What do we mean by Logistics? †¢ Logistics concerns itself with the movement of the physical flow which begins with the source of supply and ends at the point of consumption. †¢ Logistics is also concerned with: †¢ †¢ †¢ †¢ †¢ †¢ †¢ Plant and warehouse location Inventory levels Production scheduling Materials management Storage Customer order processing Inwards and outwards freight and †¢ Distribution channels. History of warehouse In early writings, man was described as having stored excess food and kept animals for emergency surplus. †¢ As civilization developed, local warehouses were introduced. Merchandise was stored in connection with shipping, trading, and manufacturing activities. †¢ When transportation branched out from local to cross-country, warehouses became more than local storehouses. †¢ The warehouses were located in the center of the city, usually close to the railr oad depot and the wholesale market district. History of Warehouse As the demand for storage space increased and land value rose, multistory buildings were erected to provide more storage space on minimum amount of land. †¢ Technology has created a highly specialized discipline that allows warehouses to store more per square meter, move stock faster and more accurately, and to know where everything is located. Discussion Connections Form groups randomly to think about the following questions: †¢ Some people say warehouse is a evil because it is totally a cost-adding activity. Do you agree? Describe the roles of the refrigerator in your home. What is the implications for the understanding of the value of warehousing. Why have a warehouse? †¢ Supply chain imbalances The supply chain connecting manufacturing with end consumers will never be so well coordinated that warehousing will be completely eliminated. How to increase the flexibility of warehouse operations through p rocess design, system selection and justification, and layout configuration is what we will try to study in the whole course. Why have a warehouse? High speed – zero defect supply chains Supply chain integration will lead to reduced inventory holdings along supply pipeline. The accuracy and cycle time performance pressures in warehousing are immense. Warehouse in the Supply Chain Value adding warehousing Major Types: Raw materials and component warehouse Hold raw materials at or near the point of induction into a manufacturing or assembly process. Work in progress warehouse Hold partially completed assemblies and products at various points along an assembly or production line. Finished goods Hold inventory used to balance and buffer the variation between production schedules and demand. Located near the point of manufacture Full pallets in and full pallets out Value adding warehousing Distribution warehouse and DC Accumulate and consolidate products from various points of manufacture within a single firm, or from several firms, for combined shipment to common customers. Located central to either the production locations or the customer base. Fulfillment warehouse and fulfillment center Receive, pick and ship small orders for individual consumers. Value adding warehousing Local warehouse Distributed in the field in order to shorten transportation distances to permit rapid response to customer demand. Single items are picked, and the same item may be shipped to the customer every day. Value-added service warehouse Serve as the facility where key product customization activities are executed, including packaging, labeling, marking, pricing, and return processing. Value adding warehousing Generally, the value of warehousing lies in that having the right product in the right place at the right time. Thus, warehousing provides the time-and-place utility necessary for a company to prosper. Importance of Warehouse Costs †¢ Warehousing is expensive †¢ Between 2 and 5 % of the cost of sales †¢ ROI emphasis puts pressure on warehouse costs †¢ Customer service emphasis can increase costs †¢ Challenge to increase service levels at the same time as reduci ng costs †¢ Focus on Productivity Accuracy efficiency Discussion Connections †¢ Use some examples to explain the customer service in logistics area? †¢ Why we need to emphasize it? †¢ What will be the possible elements of distribution activity which affect customer service. Warehousing Environment †¢ †¢ †¢ †¢ †¢ †¢ †¢ †¢ E-commerce Supply chain development and partnering Globalisation Quick response Just in time Rising labour costs Increasing SKU population Increasing technology choices Warehouse Requirements †¢ †¢ †¢ †¢ †¢ Execute more, smaller transactions Handle and store more items Provide more product & service customization Offer more value added services Process more returns Receive and ship more international orders Warehouse Limitations †¢ Less time to process orders †¢ Less margin for error – requirement for exacting accuracy levels †¢ Difficulties in finding suitable staff †¢ Warehouse management system (WMS) capability / fit to requirement problems, or justification for ROI The Bottom Line Warehouses / distribution centers play an increasingly important role in the success or failure of business enterprises. Warehouse master planning methodology Warehouse master planning methodology †¢ Investigating warehouse operations through warehouse activity profiling and warehouse performance benchmarking. †¢ Innovating, optimizing and simplifying warehouse operations in receiving and put-away, storage, order picking, shipping, and material flow. †¢ Implementing new warehousing designs in computerizing warehouse operations, and humanizing warehouse operations. World Class Warehousing Profile – orders, item activity, process, customer †¢ Benchmark – performance – practices – operating infrastructure †¢ Innovate – streamlining – eliminating unnecessary activities – better ways of doing activities †¢ Automate – computerize and mechanize †¢ Humanize – involvement of warehouse peopletreat people the way you would like to be treated Warehouse Activities Warehousing Activities †¢ Receiving Accurate and speedy receipt of all materials coming into the warehouse Order accuracy/quality confirmation Disbursing materials to storage or other destination – cross dock Warehousing Activities †¢ Pre-packaging Converting bulk receipts into smaller quantities Warehousing Activities †¢ Put Away Placing products/packages/unit loads into storage It includes: Materials handling Product placement Location verification Warehousing Activities †¢ Storage Physical containment of products until required Storage method depends on the size and quantity of the items in inventory and the handling characteristics of the product or its container. Warehousing Activities †¢ Order Picking Process of removing products from storage to meet a specific customer demand The essential basic warehouse function around which most warehouse designs are based High impact on customer satisfaction Warehousing Activities †¢ Packaging and/or pricing Optional process after the picking process Normal where mail/ courier delivery is involved Involves protective packaging Prepricing at manufacturer or receipt into the warehouse inevitably leads to some repricing activity as price lists are changed while merchandise sits in inventory. Warehousing Activities †¢ Sortation Consolidation of the order into a total customer delivery Occurs where consolidation is not completed during the picking operation Warehousing Activities †¢ Unitizing & Shipping Including the following tasks: Checking order for completeness Packaging into shipping containers/ unit loads Preparing shipping documents ,including packing lists, address labels, consignment notes and bills of lading Weighing to determine shipping charges Accumulating orders by outbound carrier Loading trucks or containers Learning Objective Basing on the current situations in Chinese market to : Have an understanding of the role and function of warehousing & distribution in the total integrated logistics process Have a basic knowledge of the process of designing warehouse facilities Know the equipment options and their uses for storage and materials handling Be aware of the customer service implications and the customer order processing options. Study of Increasig the Number of Students to Class Timetables

INTRODUCTION BACKGROUND STUDY During the research studies, I have observed some problem which is involves in KPTM KL. It is not only occur among the students, however the problem also faced by the staffs including lecturers. After I considered all the problems involving, I am so attractive to studies on the implication of increasing number of students to their class timetables. To start this, firstly I need to find the past research which is related to my studies and try to use it to guide me as long as my research is running. Therefore, I have chosen the review from Massachusetts 2020 which is studies on the effects of longer classes on learning. During my studies, I want to focus this research among the degree level students in KPTM†¦show more content†¦During my observation just now, I have found that the class timetable problems are encountered by the most of the students in KPTM KL. The increasing number of registered students every semester gives problem to the management of KPTM t o arrange the class timetable properly. They need to consider for the whole level of students in this college including diploma and degree students. With the increasing of students every semester, the facilities provided in the college including the classrooms, cafeteria, library, and computer laboratory are looks not enough to cover all of them. Even the number of all facilities is upgraded or added each semesters, it’s still not enough to give comforts for student to use it. As a result, the class timetable needs to arrange properly to ensure all students are fit to it. SCOPE OF THE STUDY My scope of the studies is exactly a student’s in KPTM KL. However, I more focus to run my studies among the degree level students. As a degree students, I am already faced the same problem. Over 100 from 673 of degree level students will be my respondent to complete my research during the next semester. I will select them randomly and try to collect as much as possible the useful information to cover my studies. My studies is focus more on the problem faced among degree students especially involving their class
